The Castaway Point Park has 2 fishing piers, on the Indian River, and has pavilions, picnic areas, picnic tables, benches and restrooms.

Castaway Point Park is a city park that provides one of the few natural beaches along the Indian River Lagoon. Located on a peninsula between the Indian River Lagoon and the mouth of Turkey Creek, the park provides excellent fishing from two fishing piers. Porpoises and manatees can also be viewed from the piers and park. Historic signage informs visitors of the Indians that inhabited the area and of the early settlers of Palm Bay.

Some of the earliest Native- American, European and African- American settlers in Florida inhabited the site of Castaways Point Park at the mouth of Turkey Creek on the Indian River in Palm Bay. Fishing and wildlife viewing is enjoyed from the two piers, and there are picnic sites and restroom amenities all right off of US1.
