Ballard Park is located at the north end of Thomas Barbour Road, it is situated on the Indian River Lagoon and Eau Gallie River. Sits on 10 acres along the Indian River and the Eau Gallie River in Melbourne, Florida.

Amenities and activities at the park include, 4 launch ramp, docks, 50 or so boat trailer parking spots with the overflow area, shoreline fishing, pavilion, grills, tennis courts, playground and restrooms.

The park also contains a memorial to naturalist and author Thomas Barbour, who frequented the shell mounds on the park grounds as a boy.
