    Ok, so if everyone wants a detailed long answer, first i would like to say that everyone should take a boating course if you own a boat. Have you boat safety inspected each and every year.

    It depends on what you're willing to deal with. I run a similar size boat. I usually check the wave periods, anything above 3-4 under 7 seconds is usually my cutoff point.
