I've been told that ill have to fish the "suds". So what would be the best way to set up and fish. good cheap reel, line, rig, baits. Also what can I expect to catch? Planning to visit punta gorda in May.

I fished Boca Grande for Tarpon and the harbor for anything.

There are just about everything there... Tarpon, Trout, Snook, Red Drum, Snapper etc...
it's hard to say what you will catch, probably a mixed bag...
