    Anyone with a Kayak can join… AND IT’S 100% FREE!



    There are no age limits, everyone is welcome. It doesn’t matter what type of fish you prefer to fish for. It doesn’t matter what type of equipment you use.

    As kayak fishing enthusiasts we share some unique differences that set us apart. We use a niche type of boat that is powered by human energy. We experience the waters, and fish we catch in a very close, intimate way. We can get into the fishing spots that others cannot since our boats are more portable and able to get into the skinny waters of Florida.

    So make sure you let us know about you and your kayaking interests below.

    If you are interested in Kayaking or Kayak Fishing let us know by posting your Yak information below. and let members know that you are interested in going Kayaking or Kayak Fishing in the different locations that Florida has to offer.

    We have formed the New Smyrna Beach Kayak Fishing Club™
    where members can interact, make some new Yak friends, go Kayaking or Kayak Fishing together, and share there adventures on our clubs forum.

    By posting below you will make some new Kayaking friends and start getting out on the water more often alone or as a group.

    We have many kayak fishing enthusiasts. And are in the search of finding more members that like kayak fishing.

    We are not guides or instructors but we help each other find Kayakers interested in getting out with others, to learn from each other, and enjoy kayaking and Kayak fishing. We have kayakers fishing all around Florida.

    Our kayakers venture out into calm lakes, rivers and waterways as well as into the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean, and Florida Inlets. Many of us like to eat fresh fish and we do catch and cook our share on a regular basis.

    Post below and let members know that you are interested in Kayaking and Kayak Fishing and Join the Fun.

    Hi all, I'm Sam and I just purchased a new Hobie Pro Angler 14 and will be Kayak Fishing around the New Smyrna, Daytona, Mosquito Lagoon,
    Tomoka Basinm, Sanchez Park, Spruce Creek, Haulover Canal, Edgewater, and the back country areas, anyone interested post below.

    I'm known as kayak mike (Mike) an avid Kayak fisherman inshore, offshore etc...I'm from Miami, will be retiring to New Smyrna Beach soon.

    looking forward to getting Kayaking with folks in New Smyrna and surrounding areas. If u r heading down to the Fl Keys, shoot me an email, see if we can hook up. My inshore Kayak is the Santa Cruz, supper stable and my offshore is the Hobie 13' Revo. Also have an small boat for inshore fishing, don't do much offshore Mahi fishing anymore, did it for 25 years, i'll leave that to the younger generation. IMG_0264.JPG

    So, I just bought these kayaks about a month ago but haven't had the opportunity to pimp them out yet for fishing. This was the night I picked them up. Since then, I've built a free standing rack to keep them in the storage building and last weekend picked up a new continental trailer. So hopefully the next pick I post will show some progress and me in the water!!!??! I live in the Winter Park/Orlando area and right now, my fishing equipment consists of a new fly rod that is still a virgin. Next good weekend weather break will see me heading east to the lagoon.

    Absolutely. I started reading and researching right after I got them. Since I store them in the local storage facility, I couldn't drill holes in the wall or the ceiling but I found a great design on another kayak forum and built a self standing rack with supports at the third lengths. Did it all for about $40 from Home Depot. I can put casters on the bottom and roll it if need be.

    So I have envied those that were goin out on Kayaks and getting to all the places I wished I could get to. So when I recently moved back to Florida I bought these:

    Not top of the line but I did some research and feel like they are strong 1st time entry level Yaks. My buddy and I went out Sunday morning, launched from the bridge on US1 in New Smyrna. We did better than I though and it was awesome to get up close to nature like that. I won't be buying that 22 footer this year!!!
