My Dad (WWII) and I were both Army (drafted)! I did run an Army patrol boat in Vietnam.

 

Alps - I tried to get into Army transportation but they put me in the Military Police! But I showed them - I got a boat and six spinning rods! But that's another story!

 

Out of all of the documents and photos I have found in my research this is my prize! This ad was in the 1866 Fayetteville, North Carolina City Directory. R. M. Orrell was my great Grand Uncle. He was also the Postmaster and City Commissioner.
