Interested In Flounder Gigging

    So as long as you can mount the lights, can you gig on a kayak? and is there a season for this?

    I don't think a gigging pole and a kayak would mix very well! The higher up you can get from the water the better to see the flatties. I gigged a 10.5# flattie many years ago and he almost tore my arms out of the sockets! No season on flatties - just size and bag limits same as fishing.

    I bet a SUP would work.
    Has anybody tried using a UV light? I use it for tracking blood while deer hunting when I have to find one at night.

    may try it from my Kayak, as I can stand up with no problem. notice from the photo the twin fins.

    you don't have to have a boat. If you can find somewhere near you I have seen guys with a battery in the cooler floating behind them.

    I use both my boat and kayak I'll say the boat is alot easier but kayak can get you in some great area's where the boat can not.Gigging is awesome lots of cool stuff to see doing it.
