Going to be spending the week in Daytona starting next week, trying to find me a couple of good places to fish, such as from the bank or bridges or piers.

How is the fishing from the Granada Pier? I would mostly be fishing in the mornings from day light till around lunch time.

What type of fish can I expect to catch there?

I’m artificial bait guy, what would you guys suggest using?

And could anyone suggest a few more spots to fish within 10 miles or so from Daytona?

Any other tip or suggestion would be appreciated

Spend a little time and browse the fishing piers and docks section of the forum. Here's the link.

And browse the boatless fishing section also for reports. I've got several articles on bridge fishing with arties on the tips section. I can tell you what will hit the arties but can't tell you they will be biting. It's been slow the last couple of weeks around the bridges with the arties. You CAN catch trout, blues, flounder, reds, ladyfish and jacks on arties. Snook willl hit in the dark or early morning hours. I prefer DOA CAL shad tail and Gulp shrimp but there are a lot of good baits to use. If you're fishing Grenada I would fish around the light poles and close to the shore early in the morning. Same goes for the three bridges area (no fishing from bridge there).

They get some very nice black drum on that pier with cracked blue crabs.
