I'm gonna try this method in the summer at night. Not sure how it will work in the river though since is so stained. Just to give it a whirl

That’s good information about your light setup, I’m new to dipping and need all the help I can get, I’ve got a couple hundred invested and need to get some shrimp to justify it to momma

Can anyone suggest some inexpensive weights to hold the lights down? I just finished my 3 new homemade lights and after spending quite a bit on materials I do not want to drop $75 on some 5 lb pyramid weights. I have some 5 lb dumbbell weights I got from the used sporting goods store that I will try first.

Who knew shrimping was so technical. I will definitely have to read up.

I use the flat plate weights. A little less clumsy than the dumbbell.

Couldn’t you fill them with lead shot? As long as you glue the caps on of course...

I use a light up here in Pensacola around the 3 mile bridge to bring in the white trout.

Give a report on how this works out

thanks for the info on the lights. will replace my 1157's with a few and see how the work. Have net will shrimp!

Ive been using lights like these for years.
i jut hang from the boat. Sometimes it can take awhile for the bait to start to come around.

went to Gator-tough web site and could not order. Any hint about what I am doing wrong?
