Levy County, it is a club that is well managed and has a good feeding program that runs year round. There is no high fence we just don't give them a reason to leave.

What part of Indiana do you hunt? I live in Owen County on 55 acres but I'm from Greene County and still do most of my hunting there.

Bossman - nothing wrong with that. Those deer look healthy.

Glad you are seeing some critters. While you guys might wait, I'd sling an arrow at that one - legal antlers. It'll likely be 3 or 4 years before I get this draw again.

Hitting the woods tomorrow - 2 more weekends of look-see before hunting. Still have to figure out the new stand too - simple enough for climbing, just got these buttons and knobs to play with.

We haven't found a buck rub yet - hoping tomorrow will change that. Plus the only actual deer sighting was near a pasture. Crazy thing is that I have spots I need to scout that are 6+ miles apart. Gonna grab a bike.

The deer in that area are doing exactly what Sam said - feed in people's yards at night. Acorns are starting to drop, so that should influence things a bit...

Does your Lone Wolf have the standard or wide seat? If the standard one, I have found that a little extra padding helps. The narrow one seems to squeeze me legs together a little more than a slightly wider but similar sling seat like the Summit viper. I bought one of those dense foam or neoprene hunting seat pads that you can get at Walmart, Dick’s, etc. About the same width and depth as the Lone Wolf seat, but it helps spread the load and doesn’t seem to feel like I’m sitting in a vise. Easy to fold up in between the parts of the stand when packed so you don’t even know it’s there. May not be an issue for you but something to keep in mind if it’s uncomfortable after your first long sit.

I think it is a standard but might be a wide - I'm wide. Haven't tried it yet. Hopefully will do so this weekend.

I do have the neoprene seats - with backs. Use em in ladders and lock ons - make a big diff in comfort and temp (keeps ya warm when it is cold).
