Snorkeling Question About Lionfish In Sebastian

    Good afternoon all,

    I love snorkeling and have been reading about the lionfish issue in FL, just wondering if there are any in the Indian river lagoon area pretty shallow let’s say max depth 20’. Not that I am hoping that they made it that far up but if they did I enjoy snorkeling and would love to lay waste to as many of them as I can. They taste good.

    The lion fish have gone as far north as Bermuda. I'm sure you'll find them around structure in the Sebastian inlet area

    Might be a little cold for them. I don't know much about their habits, but they don't seem to be a very efficient swimmers, so not sure if they would migrate into shallow water when it is warmer. I wouldn't be surprised to see them by the Jetties.

    Nice wish I could make that one, but will not be down in time. Yup I have got them before in the keys. I have all the proper gear and even bought that special tube for them.
