Actually we use larger bowels also. You can also put it over two tubs, but it is easer to just take a break and empty the bowls. Once you get going it is fast.

 

Here is the dimensions and material. I made the proto type out of plywood. My wife had a guy at the Lake Helen flea market that sold corian cutting boards make it. Not sure the cost, but it was cheap. I was thinking you could get those nylon cutting boards from Sam's Club and cut the holes in it.
She is going slow in the video for demonstration purpose. Once you get a rhythm you can go fairly fast. Also it is actual backwards in the video. The large side is where you are suppose to pile the shrimp. you can turn it over for left hand. It fits in the dishwasher.

The therory is to minimize hand movements. So you can make the dimensions to whatever fits your needs.
The dimensions are:
Hole diameters: to fit the largest shrimp.
Spaceing: to align with two bowels placed in one side of our sink.
Length x width: to fit in the dish washer and store in the Cubard.
If I were to improve on it I would figure a better feed system. You go through a pile of shrimp pretty quickly. But it works good like it is. KISS.
So here is the biggest testament. She cleans better than 80% of our shrimp. Me always looking for a better way went down to my shop grabbed a piece of plywood put a couple holes in it and gave it a try. She used it to clean two buckets of shrimp. Next thing She took it to the guy at the flea market makeing cutting boards and had him make it in corean on her own. I believe it was less than $20 bucks.
