  1. Wow, it's amazing how much the inlet has changed over the years...even within the last decade or so. The sand and bottom is constantly changing, look at the difference between the 2005 pic and now. Very neat, thanks for sharing Capt Bob!

    Justin - I was fortunate to have watch the Corps build the jetties! I started fishing out of Ponce Inlet in 1963. There were no jetties - just a large sand bar across the mouth of the inlet. At low tide many days the water was only 3" deep. I ran around around 1969. Fairly rough also. The Coast Guard couldn't even get to me! I finally got the boat turned around and back out in deeper water. Then had to wait an hour to come back in!
