    Hey all,

I am new to the group here, but in an interest to make some posts I figured I’d post a few reports from my recent trips offshore leaving out of Port Canaveral.

On 9/30/24 went out around 5:30am out of port Canaveral and ran until I found a nice rip in 160ft of water. I put the trolling spread out and got a decent dolphin in less than 20 minutes. Continued to troll another hour or so with one more missed bite.

After that I went to 170 for some bottom fishing. I was in the EFP control group for Quarter 1 (I am experimental for quarter 2 and will post the first trip report after this one). Got a hand full or so red snapper and decided if that’s all we were going to get we would go back to trolling. Ended the day trolling back at the 160 rip but only got non-stop barracuda (one after the other couldn’t even get the whole spread out). Went home and made mahi tacos!

Sounds like a great trip. Those endangered red snapper sure can dominate the bite…
Post up some pics next time if you got some.
