Nsb Off The Hook Restaurant Oyster Contest 5-27-2019

I went to the restaurant as I was supposed to be a judge for the contest as I was a few years back. When I arrived they already had enough judges so I just watched and took pictures. They first had an Oyster opening contest and the winner was 28 opened in 5 minutes and there were about six entrants. Runner up was 27 Oysters opened and he was actually the winner of the contest as the fella who opened 28 works at the restaurant and only entered for kicks! Next they had 10 entrants for the Oyster eating contest and they broke it up into two heats. The first heat the winner ate 31 Oysters in 1 minute! He also cut his lip or tongue during the contest and was bleeding a bit! The second heat the winner ate 44 Oysters in 1 minute! The winner was a woman and and she won a $300.00 gift certificate to the restaurant. Nice!
