it would be nice if this was clarified for all to read... I always seen the selections for units, zones not County Wide. County Wide sounds to good, but would affect the other zones Harvest Numbers.

Not really on the harvest numbers - the county wide permit holders are not allowed to hunt the other specified zones - it is more like "outside the other zones but within X county".

Yes, this is correct. Most counties offer a county wide permit which would have it's own unit number like any lake or section of river. Simply place the county's unit number on your application as one of the 12 available choices. No special rules required. All of the above information can be found in the previous posts FWC links.

County wide units include any public or private body of water within the county which allows legal access. The waters you cannot hunt with a county wide permit include those which already have designated tags assigned to them (Lake George, Lake Monroe, Lake Dexter, Etc.), National Wildlife Refuges, and any other body of water marked in RED on the harvest unit map.

Another example, Lake Ashby does not not have a harvest unit number assigned to it so the only way it can be hunted is with a county wide tag.

Additional tags were available for purchase today. I picked up 4 more for Putnam County. There are still a few left for other counties.
