Decided to head out and check the ramps and river since the storm. My son and I put in at Dunlawton. Docks there were still out of commission due to Irma. The City crews did a great job cleaning up the rest of the park! We had a dozen pinfish that we bought at Donalds Bait and Tackle. Nice to see them open escpecially after the building flooded. The firts stop was at the mouth to Spruce Creek. Something was smashing a pod of baitfish. We threw lures and my son hooked a fiesty Jack. After that we tried a couple different spots including the jetties. As the tide was racing in so was the size of the waves. We then went to Hunters Creek and checked to see if any reds or snook were holed up there. We pretty much struck out all places. It was good to finally get out after storm cleanup. jack.jpg

A jack at least beats a catfish! Thanks for the report.
