    Launched the kayak at first light right at the boat ramp. Cast netted mullet, pinfish and majorahs at the ramp. Worked a treeline throwing the baits as close to the trees as possible, caught a couple small snooklets but I was seeing some bigger fish attack bait. Kept working and I see a bigger fish demolish my pin fish. Peeling drag and pulling me in the kayak. Finally landed it, 26in snook. So stoked to get my hands on this fish, and to see her swim away after a couple pictures. Made my way back to a cove that usually holds tarpon, saw them rolling right away. First bait got eaten almost immediately, and the next 5 after that same thing. Ended up landing 2 out of 7 small Tarpon. Also caught a small mangrove for the slam. Manatees were everywhere it was awesome, such a beautiful place. Went through my bait by 830 and called it a morning before it got too hot.
