I and a few missed topwater boils by what seemed like small fish right at sunrise at a creek mouth, but was an hour and a half into the trip before I finally got another bite. There was bait around but not as much as usual. No feeding activity seen. Action finally picked up and at least kept the skunk away this time, even if they were small. Caught a dozen small Snook and lost one at about 20” when I attempted to swing it to the yak by the leader… I had as many missed taps on the paddletail and had several swipe at it right next to the kayak. Most right up on the banks and at creek intersections. Spread out over several different spots. Sun finally came out early afternoon after getting rained on a couple times. Spooked one large Red in the middle of a gale when on the way home.
