Not my nova was at a friend house. Its a gamble to keap them anywhere over 24 inches as far as worms, i would not do it but in the last 6 months i have caught a lot of drum only a handfull of slot size fish . These monsters are hard to clean cooking them is mostly baking with olive oil, spices, and bread crumbs sometimes i will fry or blacken them .I think the best quality eating are about 19 inches.

Nice fish but I agree it is hard to clean them with the large scales, thanks for the report!

Big one! What size tackle are you using on those? Do you play with them or are you just horsing them in? Just looking at that thing makes my back hurt.

For the bigger ones i use a 5000 size spinning reel with 40 pound braid , 40 pound flurocarbon medium action 6.6 foot rod. A good general rule is go heavy around structure. during the summer(water is hot) i think it is better off to get them in fast and let them go quicker
