Today a few years back I got a half bucket of Shrimp, so I would say that today is the start of Shrimping Season.
    Good Luck and Enjoy.

That would turn me to the local seafood market pretty quick:D
I’ve never been either but occasionally catch small ones off my dock with the cast net.

Good luck all…. With no sea grass, likely very few shrimp. I may die waiting, but not seeing what it takes to restore the waterways in IRL to the way they were. Manatees can’t even survive in the crap water conditions this year. Sorry to be a bummer, just the reality we face and it pisses me off to no end.

there is plenty of mud, rocks, wood, oystery, and other structure for them to hide and live in, and enough other things to feed on. there will be buckets of should being harvested this year.

Shrimp are masters at hiding. Last year was the best year I ever had shrimping. Monster shrimp everywhere. I bet this year we will fill our freezers again. Some years you have got to find them to be successful. Get a headlamp with a powerful red light beam. Find the stream of shrimp using this light and fill your buckets. Full pulls to everyone.

Yes, cruise using a trolling motor and the red headlamp to locate the stream. After locating the stream, anchor up, set my lights and start dipping.

It can be like going to a music concert. Large crowds, some rude folks, but the music (shrimp) keeps me coming back for more. Have fun and fill your bucket.
