It all depends on how strong the wind and current is. Most of the time offshore my motor only runs on speed 3 or 4 out of 10. It would run for quite a long time under those load levels. Obviously the Patay Wagger is a beast of a boat compared to mine. It will be interesting to see it in action. Should be great.

yeah, I did the math. 6 hours FULL thrust. I could drive to the party grounds with my trolling motor! LOL
The trollbridge charges in parallel and provides 36v in series. So you either have the outboards running and charging
or the TM running. Not both. Question is: how long to charge the batteries?
If you are heading offshore 1-2 hour ride... Hopefully when you arrive the TM batteries are fully charged.
Get to your waypoint. Kill the outboards. Drive around on the TM, for the next 6 hours. (seems like plenty of time)
Crank the outboards back up and drive home.
I will definitely not be stranded with dead batteries. 6 marine deep cycles on board.

6 hrs is a lot of fishing time.

I would love to know if they get topped off at full charge?

that's obvious since you have three dedicated for the motor, and three dedicated for the trolling.

will be nice to see your progress and how it performs. I still think the best use would be for deep dropping where anchors can not be used.

hope you do a DIY on the install.

I hope this is not a really dumb-dumb question: So, I just have a personal thing, where I never shut my outboards off when I go offshore....I have 2 starting batteries and 2 house batteries right now on my boat, and when I get a Rhodan, I will likely get the 24V 72" and install 2 new additional batteries dedicated to the Trolling motor. Is there any reason I cannot run my trolling motor while also letting my outboards idle?

    Jonathan,

The 36 volt model comes w/key ring remote.
You will need to check with them if this option is available with the other models.

Direct from Yandina Marine 36V Trollbridge combiner manual:
Radio Remote Button. If you need the ability to run both motors at the same time or 36 volts is not available soon
enough after charging has stopped, momentarily press the remote control button. This will lock in the 36 volt mode
until the starting battery is below 13 volts.

So, this box arrives and is sitting on my front porch when I got home last nite. It's so tall I can only stand it up
in the living room that has 10' ceilings. It's a trolling motor on steroids!

Curious to see the mounting bracket. It will have to be very hardy. I had to have one custom made for my minkota riptide 72 inch.... as they did not make a bracket that supported their own #112 thrust model.

I thought you were getting a trolling motor, not a pole vaulting pole LOL that think is huge.

If that works to hold the Patay Wagger in 3-4 foot seas it will work for any boat! No more 50 lb anchor to be thrown over board. Good luck!
