    Hello everyone,

I have just recently moved back to Florida and ready to get back to fishing, both Freshwater and Saltwater. I grew up fishing the lakes and rivers of the Florida Panhandle. After joining the military in the early 90's I have moved all over the country and done all types of fishing from Jacksonville to California. Now that I am back in Florida I am ready to relearn where and how to fish my local waters.

So of you are ever in need of a fishing buddy just let me know.

    Thanks

Welcome to the forum and back to Florida. Jacksonville has a great inshore fishery. Are you a boat fisherman or what kind to you mostly do? Inshore, offshore, surf?

    Thanks for the welcome.

Are you a boat fisherman..... I really want to be a boat fisherman but you have to have a boat. I am actually looking right now just have not found the right boat for me and the family.
what kind to you mostly do? Inshore, offshore, surf? I have mostly fished inshore both freshwater and saltwater and not owning a boat has limited me to mainly areas that can be accessed by foot traffic,, However I love to fish in general and have taken several overnight offshore fishing trips. I have not surf fished in a very long time, actually since the early 90's when I was stationed here at Mayport.

Ha! Yeah, I took some time when we moved here to try and get enough of a feel for the area and where I would be fishing to determine what style boat would be the best fit. It’s funny because I’ve become mostly a kayak fisherman and haven’t used my boat in months...
