Ocean Buffet-chinese Style Daytona

This is one of my favorite restaurants to dine. Many people do not like this style of restaurant but I do!
Typical Chinese buffet style with a wide variety of seafood. Prices are very reasonable considering it's all you can eat (AYCE) They usually have baked Salmon and some kind of a white fish.
Then there are the peel and eat shrimp, stuffed crabs, stuffed Oysters (great!), stuffed clams, crawfish in a spicy boil liquor, chicken in a number of ways, pork in a variety of ways and an extensive salad bar. There is also an extensive sushi bar. Don't forget to leave room for dessert as there is an extensive dessert bar including cakes, puddings and ice cream!
Evenings they include Oysters and Mussels on the half shell along with the entres.

 

Just got back from eating here again.
That place is so good but I eat way too much!
I had probably 1/2 pound of peel & eat shrimp and a dozen Oysters on the half shell with the meal!

 

That is unfortunate!

 

I just got back in town at 6pm last night and decided to try Ocean Buffet as my first meal. I was surprised when I saw that the parking lot was empty! Unfortunately I was unimpressed with the meal! The peel and eat shrimp were smalls as compared to large when I last came here.
Apparently with the summer crowds all gone on vacation it appears that Oceans has cut back on their purchases and cutting corners in other areas too! That's too bad as I really liked eating here.
Overall I was unimpressed and remove my recommendation for this eatery! I hope they come back to wht they once were when the crowds return!

 

I went back to Ocean Buffet again and they are back to their usual good meals again!
The shrimp are not as large as they were but still good sized for a cocktail.
I do like eating here but as usual I eat too much!

 

The health department closed this restaurant for health violations! It has been closed for about a month.
I don't know if they are going to reopen. I tried a search but only came up with the violation of a kitchen worker keeping his soda cold in the ice bucket. I miss this place and ate there once a week. They had a seafood broth soup that I would add rice noodles and shrimp to it.
