My 2005 crestliner fishhawk freshwater fishing boat has seats that have come unglued. I am wondering if anyone has repaired seats that glue together like mine. I have researched a lot of adhesives, but if someone has had success with a repair of this type I could really use a recommendation of an adhesive that will bond a plastic seat base to vinyl seat material before I attempt it. From my on-line research HH 66 vinyl adhesive seems to be the best option I have found. I love the seats and would like to fix them, boat seat.jpg but it may not be possible...thanks

No experience with that, but looks like you are in the right track.

I would call the manufacturer and find out if it yellows when in Sunlight. I purchased some adhesive a while back and it went on clear, then yellowed. I was pissed.

I sent a text to my Nephew who runs a boat seat repair business in Maryland. Will post info when available.

My Nephew uses a spray adhesive for foam sold at Joann Fabrics. It appears you want to secure the foam to the plastic seat. Hope this will work for you.

I went on a crestliner repair forum and one thread had success using
Loctite PL Premium Advanced Polyurethane Construction Adhesive so that is the best suggestion thus far.

I looked it up, does it say that it is flexible when dried or that it is used on vinyl and plastic materials?

The person who used it said it dried hard, but has held up so far and that was several years ago. I'm not sure if it specifies vinyl but it does mention plastic. I may try this in combination with spray adhesive on the foam. I figure if the foam is stuck down first I can then use a caulk gun around the vinyl edge and clamp it down with straps. I will post pics of the repair when I do it and we will see what happens. I am willing to spend $25 to give it a shot. I'm looking at $1000 or more to replace all 3 seats.
