    Hi !

I'm Rick, and we recently moved to Edgewater - I'm a paralyzed veteran, so I'm looking for primarily Dock or Bridge fishing I guess - I've never fished Florida waters - If we were back in Delaware I could point ya'll to the places to fish :)

Hi Rick! Check out Kennedy Park in Edgewater or the pier under the South Causeway in NSB.

    Welcome to the forum Rick.
The majority of our members seem to be around the Volusia area. Should be able to get plenty of goodinfo here. Once you get the minimum number of posts in, you will have access to all areas. Here is a good link to start your search: http://www.shrimpnfishflorida.com/forums/threads/volusia-county-fishing-piers-and-bridges.974/. I would think all of these public piers and fishing spots would have wheelchair accessible areas.
I've heard members in the past suggest the Dunlawton Flat Bridge as a great accessible place.

    Welcome Rick.
I know it may be a bit of a drive , but down at Sebastian Inlet there are some accessible areas with good fishing available.
I second what rob said about Kennedy Park and the walk way under the causeway. That spot does produce good fish.

If you get a notion to do some freshwater fishing , take a run inland to Mt. Dora . Nice access areas and the crappie should be crankin up for the spring .

You will find the site helpful , with quality people taking part to enjoy what you have right around you.
Sing out if you need something , your among friends here.

Welcome to Florida and the forum. I don't know much about your area of the state, but the nice thing about Florida is that there are all sorts of great land-based fishing spots. The closest I've been to your area that I would recommend would be the pier in Juno. A bit of a drive for you.

Aside from the two spots mentioned you can also check out Riverbreeze Park south of you in Oak Hill!
