made it out to crystal river Sunday for a little scalloping. Ramps were very busy st 7:15 am and the ride out the river was nuts.
Hit a couple of our spots on the chart plotter from the previous years and did ok. No big finds as of yet but steady numbers.
We had our limit by 11:30 and headed in before everyone else.
This is where the scallops are, the end of the rainbow. But which one???

    Now for the cleaning.

Looks like you had em figured out. I've had a couple of people tell me that they didn't seem to be as thick as last year. One person said that they seemed to be in wider blade grass. What was your opinion Ken?

The scallops are there! Lots of them. Go early when the sun is bright in the water and the scallops are coming out of the mud and you'll do just fine. Go out where the boats are but stay back a 1/4 mile or so and look for them, they are there.
Don't forget to put your dive flag up before you go in the water and take it down when your in the boat.
I didn't get to many pictures this weekend but we limited all three times we went and limited before noon each day.
1st day was 10 gallons 5 people, 2 gallons each.
2nd day was 6 gallons with 3 people
3rd day was another 10 gallons with 6 people.
10 gallons is the max boat limit so pack them into your bucket.

WOW ! That's a lot of boats out there. I like your idea of staying back from the crowd.
