I have a second station in the back of my boat so I can fight and steer solo. But I see most people have their second station up top. Why?

Mainly so they can spot fish, ie site fishing from a higher vantage. It allows you to to see fish from farther off. Even weed lines and or Weed patches or other floating objects that would attract fish. From trees adrift to broken or flipped boats etc. Hope that helps.
