    I arrived to start fishing about 630 am and was alone on this section of the beach until 8am. It was about 60 degrees with light wind out of the northwest. The weather was beautiful with small waves and clean water.

    No live sand fleas were available so I used fresh dead shrimp and clams.

    I cast a spoon out far but had no takers.

    I managed to catch one short pompano about 830 on a long cast with shrimp. A few other nibbles but no takers.

    In talking to the other 2 anglers out there one caught one bluefish and the other caught one whiting.

    Although fishing was slow it was a beautiful day.

    Next time might head south.
