    I may try for them this weekend, but I'm a shrimp newbee, and will only be cast netting for them. I'm sure I'll get the bug and get more equipment over the winter.

    Just helped my neighbor install a bunch of stuff on his pontoon boat (Ulterra iPilot 36v/112 lb motor, LED docking lights, 3 additional batteries, and some really bright LED lights below the deck).

    Time to get out and play with all of his gadgets with him!

    Will probably stake a couple of my freeliner reels with cut bait on them too.

    Will report in the appropriate forums if and when we get out, this unpredictable rain forecast the next few days will be the only thing keeping us home.

    I was just wondering the same thing Monday. I was thinking that we should start seeing some type of reports of lights in the waters. Hopefully this year they will get started a little earlier this year.

    It get exciting and hope someone posts the results from this weekend on any shrimping tries. I doubt my brother and I will be able to get out there. If we go I will definitely post something.

    Darned doctors keeping me off the water for another three or four weeks. Nothing too serious but cant get incisions wet and they are incising me a couple times a week. Fixing the veins in my legs that got screwed up with the dvt years ago.

    The white shrimp are not running in the Daytona area but the brown shrimp down around Oak Hill and south might be ready to let loose any time now.
